Chest Pain Risk Factors

Demonstration Only

This demonstration shows a simple application of KEEL technology as it might be used to accumulate several risk factors when evaluating a patient for a potential heart condition if the patient arrives at the hospital with chest pain. The evaluation accumulates several factors that may indicate a heart problem. The mechanism for accumulating the risk factors was designed within the KEEL® Toolkit, where the importance of each factor was established and relationships between factors was defined. Some of the relationships are simple while others are more complex. Specifically "smoking and cocaine use" (left graph - combined impact) have a more complex relationship, as does "age and gender" (right graphs - Female Top / Male Lower).
